My professor Sabatino asked to write about "The writing process " using these links below:- It is Monday morning. I promised My daughter to get her a drawing book with some crayons. It was shiny with breeze of cold air. I took my small girl and we start driving to Barnes and Noble. Once we arrived there I parked my car, we start walking to the store. I met a nice lady in front, I asked her "Where can find drawing books for kids?" She pointed the section where should i look for. While I was walking I heard three persons talking about writing process. I remembered my blog assignment so I excused them to join to conversation .I introduced my self for them and They introduced themselves and I discovered I was in the presence of professional writers: Don Murray, Mary Karr, and Anne Lamott. They informed me that they were talking about the writing process.since the writing is one of the more daunting tasks for me I decided I should ask some questions while I had the chance. I asked "What is the process we should teach about writing?" Don Murray answered, "It is the process of discovery through language .it is the process of exploration of what we should know and what we feel about what we know through language...it is the process of using language to learn about our world." Then I asked Mary Karr ...There is any trouble in the writing process? She answered: "Revision is the secret to the trouble .a sense of quality that exceed what you can do-that gives you something to strive for-every writer need two selves the generative self and editor self." after that I looked at "Anna Lamott" to told her about my wish to write a novel one day... she said" writing a novel is like driving car at night .you can see only as far as your headlights .but you can make the whole trip that way .you don't have to see your destination .you will pass along that way . you just have to see two or three feet ahead of you. She added you should write one day because writing can be pretty desperate end over. It is about some of our deepest needs. so I asked them guys can you tell me more about writing process? Don Murray said "the process it self can be divided to Three stages they are prewriting ,writing and Rewriting The amount of time a writer spends in each stage depends on his personality and his work habits". He added," prewriting takes about eighty five percent of writer's time". Writing takes as little as one percent of writer's time. Rewriting take fourteen percent of the time the writer's spend on the project. Mary Karr added" the last twenty percent of books improvement takes ninety five percent of the effort all in the editing." Don Murray said I motivate my students to pass through this process by shutting up and by placing the opportunity for discovery in your student's hand. Anne added" I motivated my self by pick up my one inch picture frame all has to do was to write shitty first draft.Marry Karr added"I heard three truth from every mouth writing is painful, good work comes only through revision and the best revisers often have reading habits that stretch back before the current age, which lends them a sense of history and raises their standards of quality . Finally I thanked them so much... and bought the drawing book for my baby and back to my home.
